Guess what? As we are sitting here at the airport (again) and are watching people walking by heading home for Thanksgiving, we just realized that in one month, on the 22nd December 2017, we will also be back home again. It was exactly 10 months ago when we started into this little journey without knowing either the outcome, nor how far it will bring us. Now already being in New York and heading to Vancouver for our second last stop doesn’t only excite us, but also feels awkward as we slowly start to think more and more about back home again. It’s sometimes definitely not easy to still live the moment when your thoughts about everything that is coming up slowly takes over.
But heeeey…speaking about the here and NOW, we really had an amazing time so far. New York, with our old and new friends was really treating us like “kings or queens” and we couldn’t have imagined it any better. From finally seeing my family (or at least a part of it) after 10 months again, working on the one or the other photo collaboration, couchsurfing throughout the entire city, to simply enjoying the known and hidden gems of this lovely city.
New York, you really have been a blast and even if we are already a little bit looking forward to back home, we are still excited about the upcoming last 4 weeks, our time in British Columbia and afterwards Iceland.
So hopp hopp Melanie, it is time to keep going and don’t forget your winter boots. It’s gotta be cold up there!
Cheers from the airport in New York,
Philipp & Melanie
